You Won’t Believe What We Did to Thanksgiving Dinner…

Did they really have pumpkin pie and mash potatoes at the first Thanksgiving? Surprisingly not; over the years it seems we did some strange things to this traditional dinner by adding foods we now see as staples of the tradition. But even though our society has changed up the menu, it seems like we still have trouble making the perfect Thanksgiving meal! To our credit, it isn’t common practice to bake an entire turkey during other occasions. With that said, Thanksgiving is coming up fast! With big holiday orders already coming in we started thinking about Thanksgiving early this year.

For starters, it’s time to be proactive and hack the turkey baking process once and for all. Each year there are still too many stories of fires and burns related to the turkey cooking. Here are some tools to make the process more fluid.

  1. A Turkey Roasting Rack

The Roasting Rack CC3093 is essential when baking the Turkey. This rack will allow the turkey’s juices to flow out and into the reservoir for easy basting while simultaneously keeping the turkey study and in place.

  1. A Marinade Injector

The Marinade Injector CC5160 will allow you to skip the long marinating process and instead inject marinade directly into the turkey. This will add extra moisture and flavor to all parts of the bird making sure the inside is as juicy as the rest.

  1. Brandy Wood Chips

If you want to try something new, why not add a little smoke to the occasion. It may not be tradition but smoking has become one of the most popular ways to cook in the last few years and a smoked turkey is a great way to add some flavor to the holiday. You can now smoke with a variety of different wood chips from Brandy to Maple CC6000 – CC6060.

  1. Insulated Food Gloves

When it’s all said and done make for a safe exit with Insulated Food Gloves CC5152. These gloves will help avoid any more turkey disasters, offering protection up to 248 deg F and lightweight construction for easy handling of the turkey.

So even though this Thanksgiving may not be as traditional as one of the firsts, we hope these new tools help make this year’s one of the most fluid and tasty yet.
