New Charcoal Companion Products for 2014

January 31, 2014
Berkeley, CA

The Companion Group has unveiled its list of over 25 new products for 2014 from the Charcoal Companion® line of grilling accessories. Products are available to retailers, and will hit store shelves shortly thereafter.

The new products are representative of the aim to create innovative products for the home griller. One of the new items is the stuffed burger recipe book, to accompany the Stuff-A-Burger® press that debuted in 2013. The stuffed burger book also comes packaged with the Stuff-A-Burger® press, and has an in-store display available for retailers.

Another category expansion are wood-smoking tools; designed to add smoky flavor to foods cooked on a gas grill. New wood planks come in alder, cedar, hickory, and cherry. The V-shaped smoker box for gas grills comes with a loading tube for pellets, which are made of compressed wood, which smokes more efficiently than traditional wood chips. The pellet loader eliminates the need to remove the grill grate during cooking.

Charcoal Companion® has also improved upon the traditional grill brush. Most grill brushes “shed” bristles with use. Charcoal Companion®’s new spiral brushes make use of a twisted bristle design that is 5 times stronger. Spiral grill brushes come in varying lengths, materials, and colors.

The new releases also reflect a sense of fun, with cute and playful products like potato people, stainless steel potato nails decorated with costumes to “dress up” baked potatoes. The octopus basting bottle and squid basting brush bring underwater whimsy to grilling, while the turtle scrubber brush makes cleanup less of a chore.
