One of the most electrifying new trends in cooking is tech. According to BBC Good Cooking, smart tech is poised to revolutionize the way we prepare food in the kitchen in 2017. We’re thrilled to be taking tech a few steps further: through the kitchen, out the back door, and straight to the grill.
We’re expanding Charcoal Companion with a line of new smart-connected devices we’re calling CCSync. The new Q-Tech™ Thermometer pairs with smart phones to keep barbecuers connected to their grill from up to 80 feet away. Plus, custom timers and 11 presets for common meats help ensure perfectly cooked meals-every time. We’re also bringing the party outside with our new SoundBeam™: a combination grill-light and bluetooth speaker.
Pairs with your Bluetooth® enabled devices
Directs a bright beam of light on your grill top or wherever you need to see
Can play music from your phone, a storage card, or other AUX-output device
Get amped up for your next cookout!
The SoundBeam Grill Light with Bluetooth® Speaker is both a grill light and a speaker for your tunes! Position the SoundBeam using its attached clamp to shine an adjustable, bright beam of light on your grilltop, giving you better visibilty for even better grilling. The SoundBeam can also be connected to your phone via Bluetooth to play your favorite songs, or you can listen to FM radio, songs stored on a micro SD card, or anything connected to an AUX cable.
The Smart Way to Time and Track Your Food
The Q-TECH features customizable timers and temperature ranges along with 11 presets for beef, pork, poultry, and more. The thermometer can stay connected to your device within a range of up to 80 feet, and includes a base and 26-inch connecting cable so your probe can reach every part of your grill.
Should I be letting food rest after coming off the grill before serving?
Yes, absolutely. Food doesn't just stop cooking right away after its removed from the heat, carry over heat from the exterior continues toward the center of the food.
The Q-Tech temperature presets are calibrated to have you remove your food from the grill, let it rest for 5-10 minutes to achieve actual Rare, Medium Rare etc.
My Q-Tech shows I have a Bluetooth connection but I'm not getting a temperature reading. What's wrong?
Make sure you probe wire is properly connected into the jack. Replacement probes are available here.
How do I care for my Q-Tech?
Clean with a soft cloth, store away from direct sunlight and high humidity. If thermometer will not be used for an extended length of time, remove batteries for storage to avoid damage to product.
Can Q-Tech be used indoors?
Stay tuned for more upcoming smart grill technology!
